As downstream customers demand higher system reliability, cleanliness has become a core bottleneck limiting product performance—metal chips, welding slag, and other particles remaining inside thermal management components can cause microchannel blockage, reduced heat exchange efficiency, and even equipment corrosion and failure.
Previously, Yinlun Machinery used traditional manual visual inspection and gravimetric methods for screening, which had three major drawbacks: firstly, insufficient detection accuracy, unable to quantify particles smaller than 5μm; secondly, low efficiency, with single sample detection taking more than 30 minutes; and thirdly, a lack of systematic traceability capabilities, making it difficult to pinpoint the source of contamination. To overcome this dilemma, Yinlun Machinery urgently needed a professional partner to develop a comprehensive cleanliness control solution.
In 2023, Yinlun Machinery finally selected Infiray Precision Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. as its partner. Infiray, a high-tech enterprise specializing in cleanliness testing of automotive parts, has equipment that fully complies with international standards such as ISO 16232 and VDA 19, and possesses mature experience in customized laboratory construction.
The perfusion cleanliness testing laboratory solution jointly developed by both parties features three customized designs tailored to the characteristics of Yinlun's thermal management products:(I) Detection Equipment Adaptability Configuration
Core detection system: A fully automatic cleanliness analysis system is deployed, integrating intelligent polarized light scanning and analysis functions. It can quickly quantify the particle size distribution of 0.1-100μm particles, reducing the detection time to less than 5 minutes, precisely matching the testing needs of precision components such as aluminum oil coolers and EGR coolers.
Dedicated extraction equipment: A customized high-flow perfusion cleaning station is used. For the complex flow channel structure of the cooling module, it employs 0.3MPa low-pressure airflow reverse blowing combined with 40kHz ultrasonic cleaning technology to ensure efficient removal of residual particles.
Traceability analysis tools: Equipped with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), it can locate pollution sources (such as aluminum chips and copper welding slag) through particle morphology and elemental analysis.
